Roxanne Jackson is a ceramic artist and mixed media sculptor living in New York. Her macabre works are blackly-humored, investigating the link between human transformation, myth and kitsch. Jackson’s work has been exhibited at Lu Magnus, Catinca Tabacaru, Outlet, 99 Cent Plus, Jampol Projects, Jonald Dudd, BAM, English Kills, BRIC, Airplane Gallery, The Parlour Bushwick, Radiator Gallery, Hunter College and Denny Gallery in New York, as well as at the Mutter Museum, Hunterdon Art Museum, Museum of Aveiro, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Grassi Museum. She has shown in China, Portugal, Romania, Canada and cities including London, Berlin and Leipzig. Roxanne has been an Artist in Residence at the Bemis Center, the Wassaic Project, Socrates Sculpture Park, Ceramic Center of Berlin, the Pottery Workshop in China, Chashama’s: ChaNorth, Oregon College of Art and Craft and Hunter College in NY. Her work has been reviewed in the Huffington Post, Hyperallergic, Brooklyn Magazine, Beautiful Decay, Eyes Towards the Dove, Chicago Tribune, Philadelphia Inquirer, The L Magazine, ARTslant, Ceramics Now, Ceramics Monthly, New Ceramics, Ceramics Ireland and many others.
