Alfred Ceramic Art Museum: Core Sample

September 23, 2016 by Submission Form

To celebrate its move to a new building at Alfred University, the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum will open its doors to the public with an exhibition entitled Core Sample, featuring selections from its permanent collection.

The opening gala reception, scheduled for 6-9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, is open to the public, free of charge. The exhibition will be on view from October 28, 2016 to March 5, 2017.

Core Sample will include a number of pieces that have not been on view in years. This is the first of many ambitious projects slated for the Museum, which will reveal essential aspects of the Museum’s collection, as well as chart new directions in ceramic art and scholarship.

Spring in the Museum will bring Core Sample: Additional Findings, which will be on view from April 6, 2017 – August 4, 2017
