Qualifications / Requirements:
An M.F.A. in Ceramics is required; B.F.A. in related studio preferred. Two years of teaching experience at the college level preferred and evidence of developing or established scholarly and professional activities. Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background records check.

Duties:
Primary responsibilities include teaching all levels of ceramics, 3D Design, and additional classes as needed by the department. Position is a 3 class per semester teaching load. The candidate will supervise ceramics labs, kiln firings, mentor work-study students, and oversee Ceramics for Non-Majors classes.
Description of the department:
The Department of Fine Art houses approximately 130 majors in the concentration areas of art education, ceramics, metalsmithing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Ceramic classes are also used in the department’s art minor and qualify as General Education courses. The department awards B.F.A., B.A. in Art Education, and B.A. bachelor degrees and an art minor. The Department of Fine Arts has an active study abroad program and is a National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) a credited program.
