Call for Entries: Clay National XIV

The Carbondale Clay Center presents “Clay National XIV Nature Reconsidered: Reimagining the Natural World Through Ceramics,” a national exhibition of ceramic art held annually at the Carbondale Clay Center. Deadline to submit is May 17th, 5pm MST. Awards: Best in Show $500, Staff Selection $250, & Locals Favorite $100.

This year’s juror is Trey Hill. Invited artists include Evan Hauser, John Zimmerman, Julia Galloway, Mel Griffin & Renee Brown.

This exhibition aims to explore the ever-changing relationship between humans and nature. Since time immemorial, artists have documented, questioned, celebrated and reimagined our relationship with the natural world. With our rapidly changing environment, this exploration is as relevant as ever. Nature Reconsidered seeks to draw out the diverse ways that nature is represented in contemporary ceramics. We welcome any work that references, investigates, challenges, and/or celebrates our relationship with the natural world.
