This year, Pottery Northwest turns 50! In celebration, the nonprofit has expanded its annual fundraiser into a three-day weekend celebration of exhibitions, parties, workshops, and a live auction.
A Retrospective opening reception will kick off the weekend on Friday evening at Pottery Northwest. The exhibition will highlight the history of Pottery Northwest with work from its permanent collection, supplemented by visiting artists and alumni.
Well-known national clay artists will conduct workshops on Saturday and Sunday. Sign up to watch three groups of three artists demonstrate their processes simultaneously. Prepare to be educated, entertained, and possibly transformed by their all-day demonstrations.
Also on Saturday and Sunday is the ClayFest Exhibition, a two-day, national exhibition focusing on contemporary ceramic art. Located at the Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center, the exhibition will be open for the public, enthusiasts, and collectors to browse and purchase exquisite work by 50 accomplished artists.
Saturday evening, a Gala Dinner and fundraising auction at the Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center will be followed by the Grand Ruckus where old friends and new will dance into the night.
