The Guizhou Miao culture is a minority group in china. These portraits depict traditional headdresses worn by women during ceremonies.

Collaborative show with the artist Chris Miller, where we individually made the works and installed them in the alternative ceramic gallery, A+B Projects in Los Angeles. The only collaborative piece we made for the show is the hanging work, titled Seashell Crazytown

These pieces are based on a Pre-Columbian head fragments from Western Mexico. The original artifacts were 3d scanned and printed. I then made molds of the prints, and slip cast it in terra-cotta. From there I glazed the form and applied decals and luster.
