This wheel thrown jewelry jar has a hand pinched bird attached to top for a handle. Jar is decorated and altered with pattern on side by paddling. The feet are handbuilt and pinched instead of trimmed. It is glazed with hand mixed glazes and fired to cone 6 in oxidation with a 20 minute hold.
Flower Basket Vase
wheel thrown flower basket with textured slab handle and paddled texture on basket, glazed in my semi-matte turquoise glaze – left thinner at bottom to turn black and show variation in color and some flashing of glaze, fired to 2300 degrees F. in oxidation
Mixing Bowl
Stoneware mixing bowl is thrown, with pulled spout and pulled handle. Fired to Cone 6 in oxidation with non commercial glazes/shino and turquoise glazes hand mixed by me. Other glazes splashed on top. Foot is trimmed and then carved.
Kyusu Style Tea Set

Teapot and yunomi are white stoneware and fully functional. Teapot has strainer holes under the thrown spout and steam hole in lid. They are microwave and dishwasher safe.
