Description:The Department of Art and Art History at Hartwick College invites applications for adjunct lecturer to teach one course, Ceramics I: Hand Building, in the Department of Art and Art History for the spring 2017. We seek candidates with expertise in ceramics with a particular focus on hand building and sculpture with working knowledge of all hand building construction techniques, gas and electric kilns, mixing of clay and glaze and an interest in emerging technologies in 3d printing. The successful candidate will hold an MFA in ceramics or equivalent experience and have a commitment to excellence, innovation and diversity in undergraduate teaching and will be granted access to all studio equipment and materials while in employment.
