The Oregon College of Art and Craft is seeking a Fabrication Lab Manager. Reporting to Dean of Academic Affairs, this position works in collaboration with faculty, studio managers, IT staff, and various program managers, including the Director of Community Programs.
The Fabrication Lab Manager (1) is responsible for the maintenance of all lab equipment in the physical lab and across campus, which includes 3D printers, a CNC router, a laser cutter and a vinyl cutter, and (2) ensures that parts and materials are up to date and available. The Fabrication Lab Manager is also responsible for training staff and students to operate the machines under the Manager’s purview effectively and safely. This position may be involved in educational programming and activities related to the lab. An hourly, non-exempt position of approximately 28 hours per week during the academic year and 10 hours per week during the summer break, the rate of pay is $20 per hour. The start date is January 4, 2016.
