The Artist Services Coordinator is a permanent, part-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime when appropriate) position. The position averages 25-hours per week—composed of three weekdays, 9 am to 5:30 pm. Occasionally, the role may require a flexible schedule with later start or end times, or weekend shifts. This role will be located at Northern Clay Center’s (NCC) office in the Seward Neighborhood of Minneapolis. The Artist Services Coordinator is responsible for the management and oversight of NCC’s artist grant and studio programs while providing facilities and professional development opportunities to artists at all stages of their careers. Additionally, this position supports the efforts of senior staff in the development of artist-centric programming in conjunction with visiting exhibition artists, the Minnesota New Institute for Ceramic Education (MN NICE) and the NCC studio program.
The starting wage is $17.00 an hour and includes the following benefits: paid vacation time equivalent to 57.6 hours per 12-months; earn-as-you-work paid safe & sick time; health insurance through Medica (50% of premium paid by NCC); free and discounted classes at NCC; and a contribution equal to 3% of your earnings to a 403(b) retirement plan.
