Artist Statement
I interpret elusive emotions and symbiotic relationships, delving into the Traditional Chinese Humanistic Philosophy of 'Tian Ren He Yi'. The interconnectedness among humans, nature, and machines is complex yet exquisitely intertwined. I explore how visceral emotions, language, and communication influence our physical reactions, aiming to visualize these intangible sensations and explore the healing power through ceramics. Utilizing different ceramic techniques like coil building, wheel throwing, and ceramic 3D printing, I unravel the enigmatic nature of the human body and society. Employing diverse methods to stress materials, I capture their resistance and embrace outcomes through iterative creation of specific objects. Additionally, I merge 3D printing and hand-building techniques to explore the balance point between contemporary ceramics art and traditional craftsmanship, crafting serene meditation spaces that invite profound contemplation.
