Artist Statement
I consider my work to be storyboards of fleeting moments, which only exist in dreams. I create sculptures by combining personal narrative, mythology, and folklore. Creating scenes in the window of limital space between magic and realness. I explore themes concerning my queer sexuality, womanhood, power, and mortality to illustrate whimsical yet dark scenes. Inviting a juxtaposition that allows a dialog by first questioning what is seen and entice the audience to further question their own cultural normativity or reality. My work draws the viewer in with intimate details and secrets waiting to be discovered.
