Artist Statement
Driven to breathe life into clay, I strive to awaken emotion and preserve fleeting moments through figurative sculpture. Each piece begins as a personal challenge—like capturing the warmth of sun on skin, expressing inner beauty or levity, or evoking visual movement. I use color depth, patterns, and textures to amplify this energy. Every character is hand-built and finished cold, with the ultimate goal of revealing the invisible spirit within the form.
Bio
I bring clay to life through figurative sculpture, transforming inert material into characters that tell human stories. With a BFA in Graphic and Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon, my career began in 2D design and advertising. In 2020, I rediscovered a long-dormant passion for ceramics, channeling it into expressive forms that capture emotion, narrative, and fleeting moments in tactile, sculptural form.
