The Department of Art Education and Crafts invites applications for a full time, tenure track position in Ceramics for the academic year 2016/2017. MFA in Ceramics with a minimum of 3 years university level teaching experience required. Responsibilities include teaching ceramic classes for beginning, advanced and non-art majors. Applicants must be proficient in throwing and hand building techniques, clay body and glaze formulation and the operation of both gas and electric kilns. Applicants must: demonstrate an understanding of contemporary and historical trends and concepts in Ceramics; be familiar with digital environments; and must have an active exhibition record.
