Zak Helenske presents a solo exhibition of clay and metal work developed during a two year residency at Pottery Northwest. Zak is a potter who is interested in the development of form and the exploration of pattern. This assemblage of pottery will highlight the objects potential to engage a space through its presence, its placement, and its history rather than its function. His pots are made of a gritty terra cotta clay with surface patterns and brushwork in porcelain.
