The Long-Term Residency runs from September 1, 2017 – July 31, 2018 and is renewable up to one additional year. This program is ideal for committed individuals interested in developing their studio practice and professional careers. We accept
applications from emerging artists, post-bacc, post-grad, or artists with equivalent
education or experience.
We provide ceramic artists the time, space, and resources needed to explore new ideas and create new work in a beautiful, rural mountain setting. Accepted residents will be provided with a private studio space, furnished housing and utilities, as well as a monthly stipend in exchange for twenty hours of work per week at the Clay Center. Responsibilities will include: assisting with retail operations of the gallery, teaching community clay classes, as well as cleaning and maintenance of the Clay Center facilities. Residents will be responsible for personal living expenses,
materials, and firing expenses.
Applications need to be submitted via Slideroom. There is an application fee of $40.
