Visiting Assistant Professor of Studio Art: Ceramics

Centre College invites applications for a three-year full-time visiting assistant professor in Studio Art, specializing in ceramics, beginning August 2016. The successful candidate will be an actively exhibiting artist, hold an M.F.A., have college teaching experience, be capable of teaching a wide range of ceramic practices, including hand building and wheel throwing, of leading classes at all levels from introductory through advanced, and of assuming sole responsibility for running a ceramics studio. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a student-centered environment. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience teaching and mentoring a diverse student body with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
