Artist Statement

Self-taught as I am, I never dreamt that my passion and admiration for Ceramics would turn into my way of life, would give meaning to my life.

It may well be that my inborn attraction to Nature pushed me down to the ground so as to be fused with earth, our true essence.

Through “natuRareza” I submerge myself into the vegetal Psyche in order to find out those tortured feelings, product of the deterioration of the environment that we humans habitually cause.

My only wish is that my modelling goes in deeply into human sensitivity to revert the harm we are inflicting on ourselves

Prizes (Valladolid, Talavera de la Reina, Alcora, Esplugues, CERCO, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA), International Biennial Ceramics CLUJ (Romania …), individual and collective exhibitions, National and International, (Biennale D’Arte Ceramica Contemporanea (Roma), Prevoir (Paris), National Museum of Valencia, Alcora Ceramic Museum, CERCO, National Museum of Slovenia, Westerwald Ceramics Museum (Germany), Cairo Opera House…), articles published in specialized magazines (K-Klein, Mao na Massa, Cerámica Magazine, Terrart, Ceramics Montly, New Ceramics, Zone One Arts, Esteka, Myth, Ignant…) and international symposia (Tunisia, Egypt, Latvia, China, Japan…) collaborating with ceramists from all over the world have only sharpened my interest and my passion for this infinite universe.

At the moment the teaching that I teach, through Master Class and Workshops in my country as in Europe, the United States, Asia …, helps me to continue learning, enriching myself sharing feelings and experiences.
